Woodpeckers

Three Red-bellied woodpeckers serving time behind bars for the next 30 days before release. These sweeties came in after their tree limb was blown down after a storm.

Each week through the summer Southwest VA Wildlife Center’s Education Partners, Zombie, Captain Hook and Expresso, share their lessons with Roanoke Valley SPCA campers. The campers’ donations of supplies help with the care of injured or orphaned wildlife at the center. Thank you, campers!
