baby skunk
Good news, the baby skunk ate on his own overnight. Kim picked him up this afternoon. He is in fantastic hands.
Skunk baby
Skunk baby arrived today after it was rescued in Roanoke City.
Very weak and covered in fleas this little one was attacked by something. We groomed his coat and the fleas are gone. He is warm, hydrated and nestled in a blanket. Tomorrow, he will be transferred to Kim, a Rehabber who specializes in skunks.

Bat stretch and swing aerobics! As the Brown bat grows exercise is encouraged multiple times each day. Stretching those wings to the left then the right and repeat.

Black-billed Cuckoo
Black-billed Cuckoo ready for release. Cuckoo’s eat spiny caterpillars and periodically shed their stomach lining to
get rid of the spines. Once the egg is laid it only takes 17 days for the cuckoo to leave the nest.
