Mourning Dove

This Mourning Dove was finally released early this morning after being with us since the end of October. The reason for this extended stay was that this patient suffered a double whammy of being caught by a cat and then being caught in a glue trap immediately after! This patient was miraculously lucky, but we advise keeping cats indoors and against using glue traps as both commonly cause extreme harm or even death to birds like this one. swvawildlifecenter.org #swvawildlifecenter #mourningdove
