Before and after shots of the Pileated Woodpecker that was brought to our center a few days ago. The first photo was taken upon admission: she was weak, lethargic, and unable to stand with puncture wounds and a corneal abrasion. The second photo was taken today on #worldwildlifeday, and we’re happy to say she is starting to improve: she is now climbing, flying small distances, and aggressively pecking us when we give her medication!
