Did someone say they need a tissue? Our Southern Flying Squirrels are ready for outdoor caging and will be moved outside this weekend. Flying squirrels can begin their glides from a stationary position or a running start. To stop the glide, they lift their flat tail up which shifts the body upwards and the limbs are held forward to absorb the impact of landing.
