Woodpecker

How did this beautiful Pileated Woodpecker come to be rescued. The rescuer was arriving at her hotel (Q Inn) after working all day, tired and needing to study for an final exam. She notices the employees removing the woodpecker from the railing that it was hung up in. The employees were then going to throw the woodpecker in the dumpster. Horrified, she quickly stopped them, taking the juvenile bird from them. She arrived tonight just before closing. The bird has leg and spinal trauma but now has a chance thanks to her.
