Eastern Cottontails

Do these Eastern Cottontails need to be rescued?
Warm weather has us out weeding in our yards and sometimes we accidentally unearth juvenile cottontails. We recommend placing all bunnies back in their nest. Mom returns in the evening to feed and is usually never spotted near the nest, causing people to think the babies are abandoned. Never offer baby mammals milk.
The bunnies pictured arrived today; their eyes are opened and they are weaned.
If you locate any animal with injuries or the nest cannot be located, we will request that they be brought in.
