Lead

The staff and I are heart broken. This beautiful Bald Eagle passed from the high lead poisoning ingested and anemia. The lead caused weakness and inability to hunt prey. The Eagle was on the ground a few days before rescue and became anemic without food.
Please encourage hunters to not use lead bullets, fishing lures and weights with lead. Lead bullets laying on the bottom of ponds leeches out and into the food chain, from amphibians to this Eagle. This needs to stop!
