Red tailed hawk

Red tailed hawk from Pearisburg, VA recovering from a bruised shoulder. The rescuer witnessed the hawk gliding down the mountain and crash land in a field. We suspect high winds the day of the injury were a factor or possibly a territorial dispute with another hawk. X Rays cleared the shoulder of fractures.
