Spring Cleaning

It is spring cleaning time-clean those bird boxes out now. Baby bird season will arrive soon.
Birds are master nest builders and safe materials are in your back yard: moss, milkweed, lamb’s ear, honeysuckle, twigs, dry grass, maple, beech to mud.
Soft material as cotton, coco fiber can be provided. Do not offer material that shreds or unravels, string or human hair. Many birds arrive with digits constricted from fine string or hair loosing the appendage becoming non releasable. Some birds even ingest string causing death.
