Great Horned Owl

William Roberts, a Rehabber from Grayson brought a Great Horned Owl in today. It is apparent from the smell that the owl recently had an encounter with a skunk! I am not sure if I love my job or if I am crazy. Tolerating the smells and eco parasites that hitch a ride on raptors is not a glamorous job. The stilettos have been parked for a few years. The owl is being treated for a wound or bite on the left leg and one digit is swollen and the patient is anemic.
