Owlself
Here’s looking at yourself or owlself! I might add he is a fine looking owlet that we rehabbed this spring.
We use mirrors and feather dusters when we have juvenile owls, hawks or songbirds. Mirrors help birds with the recognition of their own species. The feather dusters are used as a surrogate parent. Prevention from imprinting with humans is vital for release. If birds imprint to humans they become non releasable.
