Floating Phoebes
It was late one summer evening and already dark outside. For some reason the folks stepped outside, it was a warm summer evening. Taking their flashlight they scanned the ground and then over to the pond. Immediately, they noticed a small floating nest with baby birds and another one was in the water. Quickly, they gathered the nest and the wet one up. Concerned and wanting them to survive they called Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center. They brought the nestlings to us driving over an hour. They all survived and were released.
