American Robin
The last juvenile American Robin of the 2014 bird season, arriving as a nestling in September. This robin battled and made it through two illnesses.
We are fond of this sweet bird, hearing those sweet calls each day makes it sound like spring. When the weather clears our intent is to move her outside and release. If for some reason she’s not ready or it gets too cold we will winter her.
To keep birds or mammals beyond an allowed time, we must request an extension from the U.S. Migratory office and VADGIF.
