Eastern Cottontails

Eastern Cottontails napping after warm formula is placed in their stomach via a feeding tube. Rabbits are difficult and time consuming to feed with a nipple. To expedite feeding and handling, a size 4 to 8 French feeding tube is used to directly place formula in the stomach; a delicate procedure.
Never attempt to feed cottontails or other mammals when rescued. Their GI system cannot handle a new diet.
